Holland Park is a leafy, affluent neighbourhood tucked amongst other famously lovely West London neighbourhoods, including Notting Hill and Kensington. It has been the home to people like Sir Richard Branson and Simon Cowell, who were undoubtedly drawn to the area's combination of serenity and beauty with a central location, excellent transport links, and excellent schools. In addition to providing destination dining, shopping, and parks that attract visitors and tourists from around the world and the capital, Holland Park offers a village atmosphere and sense of community to residents.

Holland Park is an area in London with a village atmosphere, and has great staying power, fostering relationships between neighbours and families who stay in the area for decades. It is particularly an area that attracts families. 

Safety

Holland Park is a safe place to live. The Met police lists the area as having average crime. There is a high crime hotspot in neighbouring Shepherd's Bush, surrounding the Tube station and Westfield London. The 2014/2015 crime rate and violence against the person rate in Holland Park were both lower than in London overall. 

Parking

Parking in this area can be somewhat limited, but a fair few of the grand homes in Holland Park have their own off-street parking spaces. A similar, slightly lower number of households in Holland Park own a car as households in London do overall. 

Nightlife

Holland Park is home to many high-end gastropubs, bars, and restaurants. Holland Park is also home to cultural attractions like the Holland Park Opera, for a posher night out, and is located near to and within an easy 24/7 journey of the nightlife of the West End and Kensington.

Family Friendly

This is a very family-friendly neighbourhood, boasting large homes with garden access, safety, and abundant green space as well as excellent schools. Princes William and Harry attended Wetherby Prep, one of the neighbourhood's renowned independent schools, but there are several 'outstanding' state schools as well.  

Pet Friendly

The availability of large homes with garden access, and abundant green space in the form of the eponymous park as well as Avondale Park (which has children's play areas) and Kensington Gardens, makes this a very pet-friendly neighbourhood. Residents are often seen out with their dogs in this neighbourhood.  

Transport

Holland Park Station (Zone 2) is on the Central Line, with a journey time to Oxford Circus that's in the single digits. Notting Hill Gate (Zones 1/2) is also on the Central Line, in addition to the District and Circle Lines. Latimer Road and Westbourne Park (Zone 2) are on the Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines. Shepherd's Bush (Zone 2) is also on the Central Line, as well as the Overground. There are numerous buses serving the area, including 24-hour buses. There is good access to the M4 and the A40.
