Greenford is one of many London suburbs that still retains the feel of the small town it was before the capital absorbed it. Property in Greenford is relatively affordable, and includes many homes that are suitable for families.  It has a small town centre, as well as other local amenities - including excellent access to green and open spaces and waterways - but also has outstanding transport links. Greenford is served by the Piccadilly and Central Lines, which run a Night Tube service at weekends, making it easy to get to and from Central London at all hours. Heathrow is also a short Tube ride or drive away.

Community

Greenford retains the feel of a small town, and has a strong sense of community. There is an annual summer carnival, and other community events and facilities that make this a good place to live.

Safety

Greenford is a safe place to live. The 2014/2015 crime rate in Greenford was about the same as the overall London rate, while the violence against the person rate was slightly higher. In the period from May 2016 to April 2017, the most common crime types were anti-social behaviour, violence and sexual offences, and other theft.

Parking

Parking is not especially troublesome in this area. The rate of car ownership in this area is slightly high for London, at just under one car per household. Road links, including the A40 and the North Circular to the M1 and the M4, are very good. 

Nightlife

There are a number of pubs and restaurants in this area, and more in nearby Ealing. Greenford is served by the Central and Piccadilly Lines, making it easy to get to and from Central London at all hours at weekends.

Family Friendly

This is a good place to look for an affordable family home - Victorian terraces, Thirties semis, and modern detached houses abound, at relatively affordable prices for London. Greenford offers excellent access to green and open space, with Brent Valley Park, Ravenor Park, and Perivale Park - and many other parks and playing fields, as well as the River Brent and the Grand Union Canal - dotted throughout. There's a wide selection of local schools, including a range of faith schools and 'good' state schools. About 1 in 4 residents of Greenford is a child aged 0-15.

Pet Friendly

Greenford's range of available property includes plenty that would make suitable homes for pets, with three-bed Thirties semis being among the most common properties. There is no shortage of green and open space in this area, with Brent Valley Park, Ravenor Park, and Perivale Park - and many other parks and playing fields, as well as the River Brent and the Grand Union Canal - dotted throughout.

Transport

Greenford is in Zone 4 and is served by the Tube and national rail services. Greenford and Perivale Stations are on the Central Line, with journeys to Liverpool Street taking about 40 minutes.  Sudbury Hill is on the Piccadilly Line, with similar journey times to Piccadilly Circus. Greenford and South Greenford Stations have rail services direct to Paddington. The area is also well-served by buses. Road links, including the A40 and the North Circular to the M1 and the M4, are very good. Heathrow Airport is nearby and easily accessed.
