Green space is a strong feature as there is managed parkland around, meaning green vistas and access to open spaces are never far. For schools there is the 'outstanding' rated Almondsbury Primary School, and for secondary, Marlwood School and Castle School are good options. Living in Hortham Village gives you a balance: you get much of the countryside charm (views, green spaces, quieter evenings) but you're not cut off. Weekends might include walking or exploring local woods/fields, trips out to nearby towns, trips into Bristol for culture or shopping. For children, the forest school, local playgrounds, and community events are ideal for spots to visit on the weekend.
