This charming Edwardian home, built in 1903, has been lovingly refurbished by the current owners, blending its original character with a modern and welcoming finish. Thoughtful details, such as the fitted shutters and bespoke carpentry, bring both style and practicality, while period features add to the home’s timeless appeal.
On the ground floor, the bay-fronted living room offers a bright and inviting space to unwind, while the dining room creates a natural hub for family life and entertaining. To the rear, the extended kitchen is well appointed and opens directly onto the garden, making it a perfect spot for gatherings in the warmer months. The garden itself has been beautifully landscaped, offering a peaceful retreat with the added benefit of side access.
Upstairs, two generous double bedrooms provide plenty of comfort and space. The bathroom is tastefully presented and is larger than average, boasting a standalone roll top bath as well as a separate shower.
Set on the sought-after Gordon Road, the house is just a short walk from Redhill station and the town centre, bringing excellent transport links and local amenities close to hand. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the nearby countryside is ideal for weekend walks and exploring, striking a wonderful balance between convenience and lifestyle.
We've loved our four years at Gordon Road, and if we could pick the house up and move it to our new location, we definitely would. We especially love the period features like the original fireplaces, and we've tried to stay true to this throughout the house, adding new column radiators for example, whilst keeping it modern and cosy.
The location is great, we're in easy reach of the train station and town centre, as well as Mercer's Lake and Gatton Park for a bit of time outdoors. The street is both quiet and friendly - definitely a community feel and we've made some friends for life at street parties over the years.
