This charming house, once known as 'The Village Stores,' has been thoughtfully updated to create a stylish, open-plan and sociable living environment.
A welcoming entrance hall has a convenient adjoining wash cloakroom and provides access to the free flowing, 32ft living space. To one end is a cosy sitting area, with spacious dining area beyond. The modern kitchen with solid oak worktops enjoys a range of wall and base units, a Belfast sink and built in appliances to include an induction hob and an eye level double oven plus a useful breakfast bar, and a door providing access to the rear courtyard.
On the first floor are three good sized bedrooms. The principal bedroom with vaulted ceiling benefits from two windows, allowing light to flood through and a built-in storage cupboard. Bedrooms two and three both enjoy access to a South facing balcony running the width of the house at the rear – a pleasant space to relax and enjoy the afternoon sun. Completing the accommodation is a modern bathroom with overhead rainfall shower.
Outside, the property has a pleasant, South facing rear courtyard maintaining a good degree of privacy with newly installed decking offering a peaceful space to relax. In addition, the current owners have installed a EV charging point at the front of the property.
Situation
Woodbury Parish, which includes the villages of Woodbury, Woodbury Salterton and Exton, is one of the largest parishes in Devon. It encompasses much of Woodbury Common, an outstanding area of natural beauty and enjoys a thriving community spirit rooted in the church and chapel, in the school and in agriculture. In days past, the parish was frequented by Sir Francis Drake and there is a chapel dedicated to his memory at St Swithins in the village centre. Some of the facilities of the village include two excellent public houses, a village store and post office, doctor's surgery, nearby golf club and leisure facilities at Woodbury Park and a bus service operating between Exmouth and Exeter, being only minutes away. Close proximity to RD&E, Met Office and University.
