Property description

A spacious three bedroom period terraced house for sale in sought-after Leyton, close to all amenities and transport links. With its original architectural features and practical layout, this is a great family home with plenty of potential to update and enhance the existing accommodation.
Accessed via a small paved front garden, the property has retained its original ornate mouldings around the porch and the bay window. The bright, carpeted hallway has space for coats and shoes, as well as an understairs storage area.
The large through reception could be used as a single spacious sitting room or could easily be zoned into two distinct spaces. At the front of the property is a lounge area with the bay window looking out to the street, and a chimney breast and fireplace forming a focal point. Beyond is a second area overlooking the rear garden, which could be a second seating area, a formal dining space or a kids' playroom.
At the end of the hallway, a glazed door leads into the large kitchen-diner. Stone-effect floor tiles feature throughout, and the dining area is separated from the kitchen by a useful peninsula breakfast bar, ideal for informal dining. A large array of wall and base units in a rich mahogany timber is complemented by slate-effect laminate work surfaces. There’s an integrated fridge-freezer, built-in oven with hob and extractor above and plumbed-in space for a washing machine. A large window overlooks the rear garden and a glazed external door leads out to the side.
The garden has a lawn and paved seating areas, as well as a substantial brick-built outbuilding, which has many potential uses, including a summer house, workshop or office.
Upstairs, a spacious, split-level landing has built-in storage and provides access to three double bedrooms and the family bathroom, which is currently configured as an accessible wet-room with shower area, WC and wall-mounted basin.
The two smaller double bedrooms both look out to the rear garden and have ample space for a double bed and storage furniture. To the front, the large main bedroom has twin windows and spans the full width of the property, providing room for a comfy double bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobes and a dressing table.
Leyton offers exceptional amenities and travel links, with the property being just around the corner from Leyton High Road and Lea Bridge Road, both of which offer a vast selection of shops, supermarkets and hospitality businesses. Close by are some other popular bars and restaurants, including the Burnt Smokehouse, Gravity Well Taproom and Nuevo Sur Tapas restaurant. Leyton Leisure Centre with its gym, swimming pool and sports courts is less than a five-minute walk and Leyton Midland Road Overground station is just ten minutes away. There are also some fabulous green spaces within easy reach, including both Leyton and Wanstead Flats, along with Hackney Marshes and the Walthamstow Wetlands Nature Reserve.
