Property description

Serendipity forms one of four exclusive barn conversions, set amidst rolling fields and the picturesque Corvedale countryside. Approached via a private quarter-mile tarmacadam drive, the property enjoys a peaceful rural position, yet lies only seven miles north of the historic market town of Ludlow.

Double electric gates lead you onto the driveway with ample parking for a number of vehicles. You enter the home into an oak-framed porch/boot room with glazed roof which leads into the hallway. A door to your left gives access into the impressive open-plan kitchen, dining, and sitting room – a superb space with vaulted ceiling and enhanced by a wealth of exposed beams and trusses.

The kitchen has been fitted with an ample range of base and wall units, with appliances including dishwasher, oven with induction hob and overhead extractor. The kitchen leads through to a dining area with wooden flooring and into the sitting room beyond, with inset flame effect fire creating a lovely cosy space in the winter months.

From the sitting area, wide glazed panels with central sliding doors open into the oak-framed garden room. This striking addition enjoys natural light throughout the day, with a full-height picture window framing far-reaching views across the Corvedale and towards the Clee Hills. It has electric underfloor heating, fitted blinds and double doors opening out onto a patio and decked area.

Going back through the hallway, to your left is a useful utility room with space for further appliances, and a door in front of you leads you into the spacious principal bedroom with walk in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room with WC and wash hand basin. From the bedroom there is a paddle staircase leading up to the first-floor landing, giving access to the loft room. This room has two Velux windows providing natural light and could lend itself to a study or hobby room.

Off the inner hall are two further double bedrooms, one which could be used as a second sitting room having glazed sliding doors which lead out onto an enclosed garden. The main bathroom has a suite of bath with shower over, wash hand basin, cupboard, WC and electric towel rail.

The pretty cottage style gardens offer various different areas to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. From the driveway there is a large patio fronting the house, beyond which the rear garden provides a lawned area, flower beds and a good sized hard standing area with greenhouse.

A further south facing patio and decked area is just outside the garden room, which is an ideal terrace on which to enjoy al fresco dining. A particularly lovely feature is the enclosed garden which leads straight out from the second bedroom, a very private spot to enjoy the sunshine.

There are also two timber bespoke outbuildings, one sited at the top of the driveway and the other in the rear garden. With insulation and electricity, both offer versatile spaces for workshop/home office, hobbies room etc.
