Grimsay is a small tidal island just four miles long and two miles wide, surrounded by clear, shallow waters and shifting white sands. From Lochmaddy take the A867 to Clachan. Turn left and follow the A865 for approximately 5.1 miles until you reach a sign on the right for Bagh Mor, Kallin Harbour and the Hebridean Food Trail. Turn left here and follow the road until you reach the village of Baymore (Bagh Mor). Continue along this road and you will see Strome in an elevated position on the left (the only house on the hill).
