On arrival at Glasgow Airport, take the M8 west which runs into the A8, head for Greenock and then Gourock and look for the signs for Western Ferries at McInroy′s Point. This ferry, which does not require pre-booking runs every 20-30 minutes from 6am or 6.30am (depending on season) until 10.30pm, or at weeknd midnight) check the timetable. This will bring you to Hunters Quay, Dunoon, from the ferry terminal turn left and continue through Dunoon, the villages of Innellan and Toward on the A815 . Passing through Toward sailing club, the road leaves the coast for a couple of miles and becomes a long straight road. The road carries on for 1 and a half miles and makes a sharp left turn, turn off to the right just before the left turning along Auchafour Farm Track. Linnhe Mhor is approx three quarters of a mile along the track which has 10mph speed signs to the side.
