The town also has several schools including John O’Gaunt School which is a secondary school with academy status.  The famous Highclere Castle is approximately 14 miles away by car, with its history and notable for the filming of Downtown Abbey.

Hungerford Railway Station is conveniently located in the heart of the town centre and is on the mainline between London Paddington and Exeter St Davids in Devon.  To commute to London can be as quick as  45 mins dependant on the stops. The town is also served by several bus routes that connect it to nearby towns and villages.  The M4 is circa 7 miles away and A34 circa 8 miles away.
