Property description
Frondeg House is a charming stone built cottage of great character situated in the quiet rural hamlet of Ystradfellte within the limestone region of the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is an ideal location from which to explore the great natural outdoors of this beautiful unspoilt upland area, including riverside walks leading to dramatic waterfalls, extensive underground limestone caving systems and vast open mountain countryside for rambling and orienteering. The property comes with off-road parking, gardens with a rural outlook and a useful detached studio/lodge ideal for relaxation or home working.
The hamlet is just a group of houses together with the Parish Church, Village Hall, Post Office and a welcoming Hostelry. Glynneath is about 5 miles for shops, Brecon about 15 miles, whilst the Gower beaches are about a one hour drive via Swansea.
The cottage provides comfortable traditional accommodation retaining many original features including flag stone floors, inglenook fireplaces and log burning fires. Adjacent to the cottage is a former barn/outbuilding which previously had planning consent for conversion. This consent has since lapsed, however the plans are still available for inspection and a new planning application has recently been made to reactivate the permissions by the current owners.
