At Gourock Pier, a First ScotRail train service provides access to the National Rail Network via the Inverclyde Line at Glasgow Central Station. Public transport within Dunoon and the surrounding area is provided by various bus routes. With Ferry crossings being provided by the local company Western Ferries carrying motor vehicles and foot passengers. Western Ferries ply the McInroys Point-to-Hunters Quay route.
