Torfaen Area Guides

Torfaen may be the third smallest borough in Wales, but this south Wales county is rich in industrial heritage, sport and arts, and beautiful reservoir landscapes. Attractions in Torfaen skew toward things like the Big Pit National Coal Museum and the Llandegfedd Visitor and Watersports Centre, which play to the historical and natural strengths of the county. In the area, you can find the traditional terraced homes that give south Wales its iconic look, as well as a range in other types of period property and new builds. Prices vary from the higher in south of the county, which is commutable to Cardiff and Newport, to lower in the north.
