Omagh Area Guides

The county town of Tyrone, Omagh is located about 70 miles from Belfast. The area is lovely, with many famous tourist attractions, including the Ulster American Folk Park — an open air museum that explores the journey many Irish people made to America in the 19th century, and hosts several large events throughout the year — and the Gortin Glens Forest Park, which boasts many areas of natural beauty. Omagh no longer has rail service, but there are good motorway connections and several regular bus routes run by Ulsterbus. The Office for National Statistics recently found that Fermanagh and Omagh is the happiest place to live in the UK.
