Moray Area Guides

The Moray Firth’s stunning seascape, rolling hills, and micro-climate (the driest in Scotland) make this north east corner of Scotland a wonderful place to live. The main city, Elgin, is only 40 miles from Inverness and 65 miles from Aberdeen, and the region is well-connected by train and by road. The area also features numerous designated foot and cycle paths and bridleways. Smaller towns and rural villages are also on offer, and the area is rich both in historical and contemporary attractions, including music and whisky festivals. Moray is one of Scotland’s smallest regions, but its scenery, facilities, and quality of life are among the best. According to a 2012 Bank of Scotland quality of life survey, Moray is considered the healthiest living environment in Scotland.
