Living in

Salford City forms part of the Greater Manchester Borough, in the North West of England. With the large amount of investment and development that has been provided, Salford has been transformed into a thriving modern hub where a diverse mix of residents are found. Salford still remains one of the greenest cities in the UK and offers a great variety of reasonable accommodation to its residents, with waterfront, urban and rural properties that are dotted across the area. There are dense residential areas with Victorian terraces due the city's history as an industrial center, however, some of these properties are now being converted into contemporary housing which will appeal to those looking for modern living.

Community

With Salford boasting a wide selection of retail shops, restaurants and bars in the area, as well as the many nearby amenities in Manchester, residents benefit from plenty of places to explore on their very doorstep. A great deal of attractions are also found within this lively location, such as, Media City, The Lowry, Ordsall Hall, Salford Museum and Gallery, The Quays and many more. 

Safety

Due to the high population in Salford, there tends to be higher crime rates recorded. This doesn't necessarily make Salford unsafe, however, residents should remain cautious during peak times as they would in most other popular cities. 

Parking

A good selection of paid parking options are available across Salford. Residents can choose to pay hourly, daily or monthly fees for spaces on residential roads, private driveways and car parks, such as, Langworthy Road, Kielder Square, Florin Lane and Kielder Square, which are all within 15 minutes of the city centre. 

Nightlife

Residents have an array of nightlife venues to choose from within Salford, some popular hotspots include, Lime Bar & Grill, The Dockyard, Old Pint Pot, The Botanist Bar & Restaurant Media City and more. If locals would like a change of scenery, they can also head off to the buzzing Manchester City for even more Bars, Clubs and Restaurants.

Family Friendly

There are many education options available to families living in Salford. Parents can provide their children with great opportunities due to the wide selection of nearby schools, including The Friars Primary School, River View Primary School, All Hallows RC High School, Buile Hill Academy and more. University of Salford, Learnforth University, The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University are also all commutable from Salford.

Salford is very much suited to pet owners with the many green spaces that are on offer, this includes 3 Green Flag parks, 5 nature reserves and no less than 20 public parks. Dog owners and their furry friends are spoilt for choice when it comes to scenic walks to discover and adventures to be had. 

Transport

Salford Central and Salford Crescent are the two main stations available to residents of Salford. With access to the Northern Line and Transpennine Express services, locals can find regular trains which run to Manchester Piccadilly, Liverpool and surrounding areas. Local Buses, Trams and Coaches are also accessible in the area, along with a short 20-minute car journey to Manchester Airport.
