Runcorn is a lovely town which is situated in the historic county of Cheshire, in North-western England. Located on the southern shore of River Mersey, 15 miles upstream from the port of Liverpool, Runcorn is was first founded around 915 AD when it was used as a Mercian fortress to guard against Viking invasion at a narrowing of the River Mersey. After the industrial revolution in the 18th century, Runcorn benefitted from the extension of the Bridgewater Canal to the town, which transformed it from a small village to a thriving industrial hub. Runcorn today offers a wide variety of properties, with spacious town houses, apartments, detached and semi-detached homes, there's something suited to both families and professionals.

This idyllic town is a great place for commuters as it is central to most locations, such as, Liverpool, Chester, Cheshire Oaks, and Warrington. Residents and visiting tourists are treated to many hidden gems across the area, local attractions include, Norton Priory Museum & Gardens, Halton Castle, Runcorn Promenade, Runcorn Town Hall and Wigg Island, all of which are perfect for those looking to explore nature, architecture, shops and historical features.

There is an average property crime rate and average violent crime rate in the Runcorn area. Like most towns, evening venues may attract a rowdy crowd and so locals should remain cautious at peak times.

There is great access to parking spaces across Runcorn, residents can find secure parking on Wellington Street, 78 High Street and Runcorn Station- Car Parks 1, 2 & 3, which all offer hourly paid parking within 15 minutes of the town centre.
