Ceredigion Area Guides

Ceredigion is a beautiful region of west Wales with lovely beaches, rural villages, and towns with low house prices and a high quality of life. The largest town, Aberystwyth, is a lovely seaside town with the National Library and a university, which are both stunning examples of Victorian-built gothic architecture. Ceredigion can be hard to reach by rail, although the journey is scenic, but is well-connected by road and there are good bus connections. The area’s natural beauty, with the Ceredigion Coast Path and the Cambrian Mountains and Snowdonia to the north, is a major draw, but there are also historic attractions, including Harlech Castle. The county is bilingual and has a strong community spirit, evidenced by the events and activities advertised on the Welcome to Ceredigion website.
