Honor Oak is a suburban area located in the Borough of Lewisham within South East London. The area's name originates from an event which took place on 1st May 1602, when Queen Elizabeth I picnicked with Sir Richard Bulkeley of Beaumaris in the Lewisham area by an Oak tree at the summit of a hill. This tree then became known as the Oak of Honor. Honor Oak is said to be a hidden gem within London, with charming tree-lined streets and a mix of both Victorian and Edwardian homes, it is the perfect location for young families and professionals alike.
