The site is situated to the north of the village centre. It is accessed off Station Road to the south-east. It was previously the site of the Hemyock railway station, which served the St Ivel dairy processing plant until its closure in the 1990s.
It is abutted to the north by agricultural land and residential dwellings; to the east by Station Road; to the south by the River Culm and agricultural land beyond; and to the west by woodland.
