Huddersfield is a large market town in the county of West Yorkshire, Yorkshire and The Humber, in England. Being the largest settlement in the metropolitan borough of Kirklees, Huddersfield offers a blend of some of the UK's most idyllic countryside as well as a vibrant town centre filled with useful amenities. Huddersfield is located within the historic county boundaries of the West Riding of Yorkshire and is most known for its role in the industrial revolution, being home to the University of Huddersfield, and for being the birthplace of rugby league. The town also offers a good range of properties for renters and house hunters, which range from individual room lets to larger executive detached homes. The average property price in Huddersfield is around £200,000, which is much lower than the London average of £520,000.
