The former district council of Moyle is located in the northeast, and encompasses some of Northern Ireland’s biggest visitor attractions. The Giant’s Causeway is a UNESCO Heritage Site, and the Glens of Antrim and Ratlin Island are also famed for their rugged beauty. The town of Bushmills and its famous whiskey distillery is also in the district, as is Ballycastle, which is a traditional seaside town and has a popular sandy beach and marina. The Ould Lammas Fair, also held in Ballycastle, dates back to the 17th century and is one of the oldest fairs in Northern Ireland. The area is connected by bus services from Belfast via Ballymena. The Causeway Coastal Road is one of the most scenic drives in the country.
