Property description

Coming to the market for the first time in almost four decades within the popular location of Titchfield Common is this three-bedroom extended detached bungalow with an abundance of potential and no forward chain. Having been lovingly cared for during its ownership this property has seen recent works of new windows and recently refitted gas central heating. To the front of the white rendered bungalow is a large driveway offering parking for multiple vehicles and front lawn bordered with mature shrubs. From the entrance hallway is access to all three bedrooms with the principal room having a large bow bay window and fitted storage which is also found in the second room. A family bathroom with shower over bath serves all three bedrooms. An oversized sitting room with ornate sandstone fireplace and wooden panelling provides all the space needed for entertaining the whole family. The kitchen leads through to a conservatory which spans the whole back of the property clearly demonstrating the space which would be on offer for future extensions subject to the necessary planning permissions. Looking over the secluded rear garden the current conservatory is the perfect spot to sit and relax during the day and dine with friends and family in the evening. A single garage is found to the side of the bungalow with a small workshop added to the back. A pair of his and hers garden sheds are also found in the mature garden.

Titchfield is a historical village situated about 2 miles inland from Meon Shore which is situated on the Solent coast overlooking the Isle of Wight. The origins of the village can be traced back to the pre-Roman era when it is believed to have been a trading port. The remnants of the canal from the harbour at Meon Shore can still be found via the tow path. Many of the properties in the village are believed to have been built on the old Roman street plan and the church is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. The medieval era seems to have been quite a prolific period for the village with many of the properties originating from that era. For commuters, the M27 is within easy reach giving access to the wider motorway network beyond, whilst Southampton Airport offers both domestic and international flights. Southampton Parkway offers rail links to London with journey times of approximately 1 hour 10 minutes. For families the area is convenient for both state and private schools, including West Hill Park, Boundary Oak, Meoncross, Portsmouth Grammar and King Edward VI.
