From Barnstaple there is also direct access onto the A361 North Devon Link Road which joins the M5 at Junction 27. The cathedral city of Exeter is approximately 1.5 hours drive by car. As well as the primary school in Combe Martin there are further schools in nearby Ilfracombe as well as various private schools in the area.
