Do you like the photos? Then maybe you would like to view this home? One of the best things about New Home 4U is, we OPEN 7 DAYS a WEEK and are physically in the office just so that you can view, like no other estate agent in Flintshire.

Currently, homes in Mynydd Isa are coming on the market and finding new owners at an astonishing rate. So if this ever popular area is where you want to be, speed is of the essence because if you snooze, you lose. This particular house is tucked away at the head of a private road and is one half of pair of semi detached homes with a front garden given over to hard standing to provide additional parking space. The drive swings round the rear of the home, passing the open lawn of the rear garden. Although I expected this to be a striking home, I was completely unprepared for what I found inside.

Entering through the attractive semi glazed wood composite front door we step into the inner hall where the staircase rises in front of us, leaving a useful void beneath it for the storage of outdoor clothes and other paraphernalia.

The immensely high quality light grey wood flooring continues in here as indeed, it does throughout the ground floor providing a very pleasing continuity. The room is very well lit, with a series of ceiling mounted spotlights supplementing the large window overlooking the front of the home. The main focal point in here is the striking fireplace with its contrasting patterned ceramic backing and housing a real open fire. From here, the home begins to assert its individuality, as two large ornamental arches allow us through into the formal dining room.

This large space can effectively be divided into two parts; the first providing a sitting area with two three seat settees gathered around a very attractive and easily maintained living flame gas fire. Dont get me wrong, I love a real fire as much as the next man but they do require effort The remainder of the room has enough space to accommodate a substantial dining suite of a table and six chairs with no compromises necessary, as a proper dining room should. Actually, as it measures some 17 by 12 it should come as no surprise that it is able to fulfil two different roles with such aplomb.

Another fully glazed wooden door allows passage into the kitchen, somewhere which in any normal home would be pressed into a dual role as a kitchen/diner, as it is adequately large to do so. Immediately in front of us is a space big enough for a dining table if desired while on the far wall a set of French doors open out into the rear garden. To our right the actual kitchen is laid out in a classic U shape with fitted units to all three walls and featuring that 21st century must have item; a large centrally positioned island providing additional storage and work surface, while doubling as a handy breakfast bar. This also serves to welcome guests as they inevitably gather in the kitchen chatting and drinking while waiting to be fed because lets be honest; have you ever been to a party that did not at some point centre on the kitchen? Exactly.
The quality and finish of the whole room is no less lavish than you would expect in this stylish home and help to provide somewhere where the chefs can let their creative juices flow. If that sounds a bit pompous at least its not sweary. Gordon Ramsay has much to answer for All the expected equipment, both creative and labour saving is present and correct and in addition to the French doors, the twin side facing windows ensure that you never have to work in your own shadow. It is this sort of attention to detail that makes this home truly stand out.

Outside the French doors is a triangular shaped patio edging the drive as it sweeps past towards the gate into the garden next door and where beyond here, is the large lawn. To one side of the lawn is a sizeable wooden shed, ideal for storing gardening tools along with childrens bikes and outdoor toys, while the opposite corner is given over to a raised area of decking which, even as the evenings become darker, could still tempt me to flash up the BBQ. It is just that sort of garden; secluded, sheltered and welcoming.

Returning indoors and up the stairs we find a landing of lovely stripped wood planking which, contrasting the modern contemporary look of the dcor manages to feel rustic but with none of the associated discomfort, which is a difficult trick to pull off. This floor contains three bedrooms, one noticeably smaller than the rest but at over 9 square it could still, at a pinch accommodate a double bed; especially as it also features a large fitted hanging cupboard negating the need for free standing furniture. In common with the other bedrooms, the floors are the same stripped wood form the landing which not only looks very appealing but is never cold on your tootsies Venetian style shutters adorn all the bedroom windows, being attractive, practical and best of all, easy to keep clean.

The other two bedrooms are both well proportioned doubles where space for any large pieces of free standing furniture is readily found, making them ideal for occupants of all ages and tastes.

The family bathroom has an unusual appearance in that the patterned floor tiles continue up onto one of the walls, making a feature of it. Now I know it sounds odd but look at the pictures and you will see that it really does work, being both attractive and practical. The bathroom furniture is the stuff of dreams, where apart from the expected pedestal hand basin and lavatory there is an egg shaped bath positioned away from the wall and filled via a rising head which also features a hand-held shower attached. As if this were not enough, in the corner is a double sized walk-in shower cubicle with a hotel style shower fed directly from the homes heating system rather than relying on an electrically heated trickle

At the far end of the landing we find another staircase, at the top of which is Narnia. Actually no, it is the delightful fourth bedroom but when you see it you will forgive my flights of fancy. Given real character by the sloping ceilings and huge roof beams this is a bedroom any young person would kill for or, with the masses of light from the twin Velux windows it would make a splendid office or hobby room but whatever you choose, versatility is the watchword here.
