For some, village life means living in a state of semi permanent inconvenience where the shop (if there is one) is too small and ill equipped, you have to drive the kids to school every day and woe betide anyone who forgets something off the weekly Tescos list as just popping back will represent a couple of hours of your life youll never get back. A large enough conurbation to provide a Co-op big enough to meet most of your needs while also providing a well regarded primary school, along with various take away food outlets and all within a few minutes drive of Mold for those occasions when only a real town will suffice. It is a popular location for a reason.

This home is at the head of a short cul-de-sac and overlooking a broad stretch of open grass. The front garden has been given over to parking, providing space for at least three vehicles, while to one side is what looks like an attached garage, but which has been formed by filling in the walls of a large gated car port. The roof of this is attached to the side of the home and slopes, meaning there is generous storage to be found above the rafters. To the other side of the home is a tall fence which while appearing solid, is in fact a huge pair of gates opening onto an area of hard standing, perfect for caravan or motorhome storage.

An enclosed brick porch stands proud of the front elevation of the home, providing somewhere for wet shoes and protecting the carpets during bad weather before the fully glazed inner door allows us into the lounge, where the staircase rises in front of us. This is a spacious lounge, made even more so by cleverly utilising the void beneath the stairs as additional floor space. The large front facing picture window ensures excellent levels of light and highlights the log burning stove sitting proud of the side wall on its black marble plinth.

A door at the rear of the lounge opens into the kitchen/diner which is refreshing in that it is actually large enough to undertake this double role with ease, with a full sized circular table sitting beside a set of French doors opening onto the rear garden. The remainder of the room is taken up with a U shaped layout of fitted units offering masses of storage space along with the cooker and integrated dish washer, all kept cheerfully bright courtesy of the large picture window above the sink and drainer.

A door to one side opens into the utility room, where we find all the noisier of the appliances, the washing machine and so on while another door reveals the inside of the car port/garage. At the other end of the utility room is the door into the downstairs cloakroom with its unitary hand basin and lavatory.

The final interior door reveals a spacious workshop-come-hobby room; the sort of place where Dads can disappear for hours on end eventually emerge to proudly display some scarcely recognisable Heath Robinson contraption theyve been making. Its actual identity remains a mystery but it keeps them happy and will come in useful one day; perhaps. Another door at the rear of the room opens into a slightly sinister inner sanctum where we find another workshop, this one possibly secret as there are no windows for prying eyes to observe the progress of whatever is under construction. My first thought was that it was the perfect location for an illicit still, but maybe thats just me Whatever use you choose to put it to, as a workshop it is very well equipped with power and vitally, a very effective set of artificial lights which are so good you forget the lack of daylight. Above the first workshop, accessed via a ceiling trapdoor is a massive storage loft the same area as the room beneath it and offering full standing room to one side. This is a home which is perfect for compulsive hoarders, or those with space-hungry hobbies.

Stepping into the garden through the back door in the utility room we find a completely enclosed area mainly given over to lawn and surrounded by tall fencing. In the far corner is a Grizzly Adams style log cabin none of your effete summer houses here, this one is meant for year round use and has a very attractive rustic appeal. The garden continues round the side of the home to where the hard standing parking area lies in front of the large gates, providing the perfect spot for storing you caravan or motorhome away from envious eyes.

Returning indoors and upstairs we find the expected classic three bedroom layout where to the front of the home is the smallest of these. In common with most rooms of this type this is definitely a single, where a double bed would prove wholly impractical owing largely to the amount of floor space lost to the rise of the stair-well. However in these covid-raddled times where more and more people are being encouraged to work from home, should the additional bed not be needed this makes the perfect home office.

Adjacent to here and also overlooking the front of the home, the second bedroom is a completely different proposition. This would comfortably accept a double bed and all the accompanying free standing furniture with space to spare, as the current owners demonstrate.

Moving towards the rear we come to the main bedroom. Similar in size to its front facing twin, this is helped in providing generous clothes storage by the one complete wall of fitted wardrobes capable of satisfying the most dedicated of fashionistas and, doing so easily.

Last but not least we come to the family bathroom which has been recently refurbished, producing a fresh and pleasant look. In here we find a suite of a unitary hand basin with storage beneath, lavatory and traditional bath with a mains powered shower above.
