Do you like the photos?? Well may be you would you like to view this home personally..the good thing about NewHome4U is, we OPEN 7 DAYS a WEEK and were physically in the office 4U just so that you can, like no other estate agent in Mold

NewHome4U are delighted to bring exclusively to the market this opportunity to buy into a slice of local history. This fabulous home is somewhere I, and I suspect many others have been driving past for years thinking, ooh, Id love to live there well this is your chance!! This is one of the very few habitable windmills in the North West and its the real epitome of the phrase Character Property. However, unlike many properties carrying this label, this is in perfect condition internally and externally and offers a cosy and workable family home.

Set in a commanding position as you would expect and sitting in enclosed manicured gardens, offering a variety of scenes and atmospheres, with a range of useful outbuildings this majestic home literally towers over the town.

Entering the grounds via the large gateway, a broad drive sweeps past well kept lawns (which you will have to keep looking nice, as the present owner is unwilling to come back and mow them once youve bought it) to the multiple parking areas at the side of the outbuildings.
Continuing around the home we come to an enclosed patio and BBQ area, separated by yet more lawn before the greenhouse and vegetable plot becomes visible. Re-approaching the road side of the plot we find another area of lawn, with an ornamental pond and as an ornament, the original grinding stone sits beside the water in tribute to its glory days as a working flour mill. This section of the garden has been fenced off as a safety measure to prevent accidents to youngsters becoming too adventurous and adjoins the main lawn to the front of the home, which brings us back to the main gate.

Climbing the steps to the front door we enter the hallway where, to our right, is the downstairs lounge/dining room. This generously sized room is semicircular in shape and has ample room for a six seat dining table and a large sofa with bookcases and TV stand. To the rear of the home (if a circular building can have a rear.) on the left is the kitchen.

Now the kitchen occupies the next quarter of the space and this is a work of art. Bespoke curved work surfaces sit atop fitted units all around the outer wall and provide all the storage space you could need, while the inner wall houses the cooker hob, vertical tower oven and further units, all in a very attractive antique oak, matching perfectly with the enormous and fully structural beams found throughout this home. At the outer end of this wall is a store/utility room housing the washing machine, tumble drier and the gas combi boiler.

Moving back towards the hall we find the remaining quarter of this floor contains the downstairs bathroom. Units beneath the hand basin continue the antique oak theme from the kitchen. There is a large linen cupboard in here, along with a lavatory and the luxury of a spa bath with a shower over.

Back into the hall and up the stairs which we should point out that there are 64 from ground to top floor - brings us to the lounge. A huge circular room covering this entire floor and kept wonderfully light due to the three large windows and two French doors, that gives access to the fantastic walkway all around the outside of the home. Imagine the parties that you can hold here, in fact, youd think about charging your friends and family to pop round, the views are amazing, not only from this level but also the level above this yes theres more! Anyway, I get carried away.....back inside the lounge is a large bookcase and surround to the feature real flame gas fire. Obviously, as youd expect, these are bespoke, as they are fitted to the curve of the outer wall. There is further storage in a cupboard to one side of the doorway, which utilises the under-stair space from the staircase that spirals its way around the building. This clever use of space is a feature found on every floor, providing many useful nooks and crannies ideal if you have kids who love to play hide-and-seek.

Up the next flight of stairs, it brings us to the master bedroom. This is a very comfortable double with masses of cupboard space beneath the stairs, before we even begin with the huge free standing wardrobe which in turn leaves more than enough space for the dressing table and other bits and bobs. Adjacent to this is a shower room. Containing a hand basin, lavatory and walk-in power shower which is fed directly from the mains via the combi boiler and although not quite an en-suite, it has all the convenience of one.

Moving up another floor we find two rooms of a similar size. One currently is being used as a bedroom and the other in use as an office but easily interchangeable. Should an office be considered vital, there is the opportunity to have one in the extensive and spacious outbuilding. What amazes on this floor, is the thickness of the walls. Even at this height, they have to measure 15 inches and give off an incredible feeling of security and strength. But I suppose that is hardly surprising in a building similar in construction to a lighthouse.

Up the final flight of stairs and into the loft space we find another large circular room occupying the whole floor, it gives an even larger feel of size due to its very high ceiling. Currently in use purely as a storage area, this once housed the drive shafts from the sails that powered the mill but could easily be converted into a spacious bedroom or even an extra living area taking advantage of its half mezzanine floor. From the mezzanine, you step out onto the upper walkway and your breath is taken from you (literally if you dont like heights ??). The Wirral, Liverpool Bay and the entire Dee estuary stretch out before you and the inhabitants of Holywell scurry about like insects at your feet. It really is fabulous up here, if you need inspiration, just step outside up here and youll get inspired rather quickly..

If you are happier with your feet on the ground, we shall explore the out buildings. At the rear of the plot is a block of buildings crying out for conversion and the possibilities are endless. Currently used mainly as workshop space, these could be offices or with a little imagination converted into living accommodation, with the possibility of an annexe for elderly relatives, returning youngsters unable to get a foothold on the property ladder, teenagers not quite old enough to fly the nest but wanting a taste of independence, yet still within the safety net of home, or even as an AirBnB rental (I mean how many tourists would pay to stay in a Windmi - I can't imagine there are that many in the UK??). From here, the world is your oyster because this home really is the stuff dreams are made of..
