Falkirk Area Guides

Falkirk is in the central lowlands and almost exactly halfway between Edinburgh and Glasgow, making it possible to commute to either city. Parts of the Falkirk area are heavily industrialised, but some areas are stunning natural landscapes. The town of Falkirk is thriving, and the area is home to several famous attractions, from the Kelpies to Callendar House. Falkirk Council reports that the area is among the fastest growing in the country, with more houses being built and less crime than most of the UK. Property is affordable, and is there is a lot of choice between old and new. Falkirk has excellent motorway and rail connections, as well as expanding port facilities at Grangemouth. Leisure, including parks and green space, and schools in Falkirk are excellent. The town also made it into the top 10 happiest places to live, according to a 2014 Rightmove survey.
