Bridgend is located in between Cardiff and Swansea in South Wales. Bridgend’s town centre is lively and bustling, with a pedestrianised centre, and it is a short trip to several nearby beaches. There is good transport in the area, particularly by bus, and there is affordable property ranging from flats to detached properties. The area also has beautiful countryside nearby, but without sacrificing an easy commute or requiring a long trip to the shops. The Office for National Statistics found that in 2012, Bridgend was one of the happiest places to live in the country, with more than 75% of borough residents rating their ‘life satisfaction’ as medium or high.
