Anywhere in West Lothian that you decide to call home will offer a great balance of town and country life. Whichever one you choose to live in still offers excellent access to the other in this well-connected region of Scotland. Many parts of the area, like the Royal Burgh of Linlithgow, are commutable to Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Stirling by both road and rail. There is also a wide range of property available, from new build flats to Victorian houses. The council also has three Country Parks, offering horse riding trails, golf courses, and skate parks in addition to the usual leisure and sport facilities. Like so much of the country, West Lothian is also steeped i history, with palaces, museums, and heritage centres to visit. West Lothian also has a growing younger population, and is one of the few areas to be building new school as well as new council homes to rent.
